What is NSIC Registration?

All Micro & Small Enterprises (MSMEs) which are registered with the Director of Industries (DI)/District Industries Centre (DIC) are eligible for NSIC registration online under its Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS) by National Small Industries Corporation.

Although NSIC registration is an optional process for the micro, medium and small scale industries; it is beneficial to avail various benefits and subsidies provided by the National Small Industries Corporation which are mainly promotional in nature. These services are aimed at promoting and accelerating SMEs in India and can be availed through single point registration system.


Both manufacturing and service provider enterprises having MSME or Udyog Aadhar Registration are eligible for obtaining online NSIC registration. On submission of the application, the authority forwards the application to an zonal, branch or sub-branch office for completing technical inspection of the unit and forwarding of recommendation for NSIC registration online. On receiving the inspection report, National Small Industries Corporation grants certification to the MSME industries.

Charges (Less than I Crore)

NSIC Registration charges depend upon the complete turnover of the business as per the latest audited financial statements. Here is the charge for NSIC registration online for MSME (Less than 1 crore turnover):

Micro Enterprise having less than rs.1 Crore turnover charged a fee of INR 3000 while small enterprise having turnover of less than rs.1 crore charged a fee of INR 5000.

Charges (More than 1 Crore)

If the turnover of the MSME exceed 1 crore INR, Then there will be a change in NSIC registration online charges.

Micro enterprises having more than Rs.1 crore turnover, are charged a fee of Rs.3000 plus Rs.1500 for each crore of additional turnover. Small enterprises are charged a fee of Rs.5000 plus Rs.2000 for each crore of additional turnover. The total cap on registration fee is set at Rs.1 lakh.

  • Audited Balance Sheet, Trading Account and Profit & Loss
  • Self-attested copy of ownership documents of the premises or copy of lease deed.
  • Latest Electricity Bill Copy.
  • Copy of Permanent Account No. (PAN)
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Statement showing the Results of Operation for the last 3 years duly signed by Chartered Accountant under his seal.
